The promotional campaign for Peddi is missing its crucial spark. Lead actor Ram Charan has delivered surprisingly bland and dull speeches at recent events. During the Bhopal press meet, he made notable public gaffes. His performance did not improve at Monday's Vijayawada event. He struggled to make forceful statements on stage. He even confused the contrasting Telugu words 'vennupotu' and 'vennanta' during his address. Even leading lady Janhvi Kapoor has been found wanting alongside them.
In contrast, others have carried the promotional weight flawlessly (relatively). Director Buchi Babu Sana and others have spoken with great clarity. Supporting actors Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu also delivered engaging notes on stage and in interviews.
Ram Charan's long-standing limitations as a public orator are no secret. He has always been a rather average speaker. He completely lacks the natural enthusiasm seen in Jr NTR and Allu Arjun. While he remains a step ahead of Prabhas, his standard falls well below that of Mahesh Babu.
