Ravi Teja's Irumudi Glimpse: Flawed snapshot fails to spark confidence

The promotional video for Irumudi offers a look into an emotional father-daughter drama. Starring Ravi Teja and Baby Nakshathra, the film centers on their bond. The footage captures tender moments like feeding rituals and riverside play. However, the execution lacks a genuine creative spark.

Director Shiva Nirvana (Ninnu Kori fame) struggles to create an authentic atmosphere. The daughter’s laughter sounds like a tired Telugu cinema trope. GV Prakash Kumar provides a predictable musical score. Furthermore, the village setting looks artificial rather than lived-in. The sanitized frames detach the audience from the rural reality.

The narrative heavily relies on the father’s fierce protection of his child. Action sequences echo intense Tamil cinema styles. The fights recall the gritty choreography seen in films like Asuran and Kara (the recent one). These heavy action beats are the film's only hope.

If Nirvana refines this mixed treatment, the film might still surprise viewers during its August release. For now, the glimpse remains an uninspired preview.

Mythri Movie Makers produced this upcoming venture. The cast also includes Priya Bhavani Shankar and Sai Kumar.
