Suddenly, the promotional material of Lenin has acquired an English-savvy tinge. While the caption 'Manodu Vasthunnadu' stayed true to the film's geographical setting, the song 'Soul of Lenin' was accompanied by a warcry phrased in English. 'No War is Greater Than Love', the Thaman-composed song, filmed on Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse, says.
The song was unveiled without much hype on June 3 evening, coinciding with the release of Peddi, a film starring Akhil's long-time industry friend, Ram Charan. For the film's promotional campaign, the song has proven to be a turning point, ranked next only to Akkineni Nagarjuna's recent social media post that promised a new Akhil.
The "intense" song is themed on the angry nature of the love story. The visuals have already given rise to fan theories, particularly revolving around the final shot that zooms in on Akhil's eyes. Rendered by Vagdevi, the song is penned by the talented Kalyan Chakravarthy.
Sithara Entertainments and Manam Enterprises LLP are jointly producing Lenin. Producer S Naga Vamsi's team recently assured the audience that the Murali Kishor Abburu directorial will be "a world so rooted, lovable and heartwarming that every cinema lover will celebrate it".
Lenin will head to theatres on June 26.
