From secret assassin to spy legend: Alia Bhatt steals the show in Alpha Trailer

The trailer for Alia Bhatt-Sharvari's Alpha is a full-on 'paisa vasool' treat. It shows the origin story of Alia Bhatt's character (named Sita), a woman powered to kill in a secret program that eventually puts her in harm's way. Bobby Deol plays her mentor/father figure (Fateh), who becomes an antagonist in an unexpected turn of events. There is a strong "Sita burning Lanka" spin. Alia and Sharvari team up as lethal operatives taking on a big threat.

The explosive spy-action thriller appears to come with lots of wit and sleek action. There is also a dark, edgy tone, particularly towards the end. Expect expertly choreographed hand-to-hand combat, chases, espionage, and high-production sequences.

Alia, who looked emotional, aggressive and vulnerable in Jigra, is seen in a never-seen-before ruthless action avatar in Alpha. She looks effortless doing those raw fights, gunplay, and wearing that carefree and wounded attitude. Sharvari also gets solid action moments (though some fans noted she's a bit under-featured compared to Alia). Anil Kapoor plays a handler.

Finally, the Hrithik Roshan (Kabir) tease and connections are exciting. Alpha seems to be an ambitious origin story of deadly girls with popcorn entertainer energy.

Director Shiv Rawail has worked on a story written by Uday Chopra. Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film's screenplay is written by Soumil Shukla and Shridhar Raghavan. Rubais is the Director of Photography. The music is composed by Rohansh and Abeer. Ishita Moitra has penned the dialogue.

Energetic hype for the July 3, 2026 release, with strong visuals and Alia's transformation as highlights.
