Sai Marthand has been honored with the Best Debut Director award at the prestigious Gaddar Awards for his acclaimed film, Little Hearts. Starring Mouli Tanuj and Shivani Nagaram, the teen rom-com was one of the biggest success stories of 2025. Produced by Aditya Hasan and distributed by Bunny Vasu (BV Works) and Vamsi Nandipati, the film has also been streaming successfully on OTT.
"The blockbuster entertainer that made us all proud and happy at the box office and now at the prestigious awards," wrote Vamsi, congratulating Marthand. This is a big boost for the 27-year-old filmmaker.
Sai Marthand entered the film industry accidentally. He was not able to cope up with courses related to Android and web development. He became a feature filmmaker after directing two short films. For someone who never worked under any director as an AD, he has shown a lot of promise. Little Hearts also featured Rajeev Kanakala, Nikhil Abburi, SS Kanchi, Jai Krishna, and others.
