The Telugu Film Directors’ Association elections concluded on Sunday with a resounding victory for the panel led by VN Aditya. Elected as President, Aditya’s win was marked by the highest majority in the association’s history. The newly formed executive body includes V Samudra as Vice President, Rama Rao as General Secretary, and Sai Rajesh as Treasurer.
President VN Aditya noted that 16 out of 18 candidates from his panel secured seats, a feat he attributed to the association's consistent welfare work over the last two years. He lauded Sai Rajesh for his tireless efforts in securing this victory. The Manasantha Nuvve director highlighted the unity within the industry, mentioning that high-profile directors like Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Anil Ravipudi took time from their busy schedules to vote. “We will work for the development of the association and fulfill our promises, specifically focusing on health security and film production support for our members,” Aditya stated.
Veteran filmmaker Tammareddy Bharadwaja, one of the most outspoken Telugu directors, expressed his hope that this new committee would restore the association's former glory as an industry leader. He urged the winners and those who lost to move past the competition and work together for the collective good. Supporting this sentiment, N Shankar remarked that the new body must now honor the immense trust placed in them by the members.
Meher Ramesh added his praise for Aditya. The Bholaa Shankar director highlighted Aditya's mentorship of new directors and his prestigious service on the National Awards jury.
Treasurer Sai Rajesh, known for Baby, attributed the panel’s success to their "eight promises" and their track record of providing insurance without touching core funds. He confirmed that they intend to provide permanent insurance for all members and continue the vital mid-day meals program.
