Hansika Motwani tied the knot with her friend Sohael Khaturiya on December 4, 2022. The wedding was a grand affair, complete with 'dhoom dham' involving relatives, guests, wedding planners, and designers.
Just over three years later, the couple filed for divorce. Reasons for the divorce are not known yet. Differences cropped up in late 2024. And they manifested in their life in early 2025, when Hansika started living separately.
In April 2025, Hansika and her mother Jyoti Motwani approached the Bombay High Court "seeking to quash a cruelty case filed against them under Section 498A of Indian Penal Code by Hansika's sister-in-law, Muskan James", Bar & Bench reported.
Sohael was previously married to a friend of Hansika. He had proposed to the actress under the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris earlier in 2022.
Speculations are rife that Hansika Motwani is not seeking any alimony from Sohael. She is planning to move on and focus her energies on acting.
