Singeetham Srinivasa Rao has directed an experimental movie titled Sing Geetham at the age of 94. Very few filmmakers across the world have been able to mount a film at such an age.
Mahanati and Kalki 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin is bankrolling this June 11 release.
As someone who has made iconic movies such as Aditya 369, Pushpak, Vichitra Sahodarlu and Michael Madana Kama Raja, Singeetham Srinivasa Rao's talent needs no introduction. However, very few veterans have succeeded with experiments in the context of Indian cinema. The good part is that he has co-written the movie with multiple writers (Gautami Challagulla, Shashank, Sreekar, Nanda Kishore Emani, and Rahul V Rajeshwar). The film is touted to be India’s first musical fantasy.
Ayaan, Ahilya Bamroo, Shalini Kondepudi, Thulasi PA, Benarjee, Sivanarayana, and Agu Stanley feature in different roles.
Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema have worked with music director Devi Sri Prasad and cinematographer Ankur C. Sing Geetham will head to theatres on June 11.
