Nara Lokesh, as per a section of the media in the early 2000s, planned to become an actor. If speculative reports from that era are to be believed, his acting debut was seriously given a thought by his father, Chandrababu Naidu.
A famous cinema magazine at that time claimed that director Teja, then a star-maker, was in talks. By then, Teja had made Uday Kiran's Chitram and Nuvve Kavali, and Nithiin's Jayam. So, it was a no-brainer that the young filmmaker was "approached".
During that era, three grandsons of NT Rama Rao were entering the industry. Jr. NTR, Kalyan Ram, and Tarakaratna were trying to become stars. Because Nara Lokesh was also part of this lineage, rumors often suggested he would follow suit to strengthen the family's presence in both cinema and politics.
There is little evidence to conclude with certainty that Lokesh wanted to become an actor. It's also likely that Jr NTR's success with Aadi and Simhadri made him have second thoughts, for the trend at that time was in favour of energetic actors who could dance well.
