Vikranth has been a growing actor in Telugu cinema. Last year, he was seen in Santhana Prapthirasthu, a bold subject that catered to the family segment.
The news is that he has received a Certificate of Excellence - Jury Special Award at the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival 2026. This is in recognition of his acting in Santhana Prapthirasthu, helmed by Sanjeev Reddy and produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Nirvi Hari Prasad Reddy.
"Vikranth is a promising talent in Telugu cinema and his career is at an early stage. Santhana Prapthirasthu earned positive reviews from both critics and audiences upon its November 2025 release. The recognition is timely," a source says.
The family entertainer, co-starring Chandini Chowdary and Muralidhar Goud, has achieved digital success. It remained the top Telugu movie on Jio Hotstar for over six weeks after its digital debut post its theatrical release. The project also made a strong impact on television with high TRP ratings on STAR Maa.
Vikranth is currently preparing for several upcoming projects. He comes from an IT background. As someone who grew up in Vijayawada, he was fond of movies right from a young age. "After moving to the US, my cinema visits only went up. It was when the Covid-19 pandemic struck that I left the US and moved to Hyderabad. I didn't want to wait for opportunities, rather I wanted to grab them," he shared in an interview last year. He aims to build on this momentum and continue to impress audiences with his future work.
