Thimmarajupalli TV will begin streaming on Aha OTT from May 15. Aha Gold users will get early access to watch the film 24 hours in advance.
Set in the village of Thimmarajupalli, the story takes place in the year 1996 when Dish TV was the preserve of the upper-middle-class in villages. The film revolves around the social friction sparked by the arrival of a new television set. Rajappa derives pride as the owner of the village's first TV set. He screens movies to villagers, only to lose privacy in the process. He is newly married. Satish is in love with Rajappa's sister, Sarada. When a duel breaks out between Rajappa and Satish, the latter warns him his pride, the TV set, will be his target. What happens next is a commentary on multiple themes.
Sai Tej, Vedha Jalandhar, Kotte Pradeep and Swathi Karimireddy play prominent roles. Vamsikanth Rekhana is the music director.
