‘Dragon’ First Glimpse: Jr NTR's Lugus is ruthless in Prashanth Neel’s next

What happened after God rested on the seventh day? The Devil was born. Lugus, the assassin in chief, is a ruthless monster who belongs to his own lineage. The Afghan Trading Company has got a commander who never regrets after pulling the trigger. "I don't see the faces of the people I have killed in my dreams. Only the faces of my enemies that remain," Jr NTR's frighteningly violent character declares.

While Tarak's character apparently comes with negative shades, Anil Kapoor plays Raghuveer Rathod, the Chief of Narcotics Bureau representing India's interests.

Director Prashanth Neel has worked with stunt directors Peter Hein and Chetan D’Souza. His gritty treatment is reminiscent of his signature. Ravi Basrur's music direction is familiar.

Also starring Malayalam actor Biju Menon, Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth (the narrator), Khushbu Sundar, Guru Somasundaram, Rajeev Kanakala, Ashutosh Rana, Anshuman Pushkar, Sidhant Gupta, Prabhas Srinu, Shatru, Shiva, Bhimal Jeet Oberoi, Ntuthuzelo Prince Grootboom, Aleksandr Mizev, and Benedict Paul Garrett, Dragon is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts. Producers Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar and Kosaraju Harikrishna are joined by T-Series Films' Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar, who are presenting the movie.

With cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda, the film's production design is by TL Venkatachalapathi. Edited by Pranav Sri Prasad, the multi-lingual release is written by Vikram Kumar Kandimalla, Divya Thejaswi Pera, Deva Katta (he is one of the dialogue writers), Sandeep Reddy Bandla (a prominent writer of Salaar) and Hanuman Chaudhary.

Dragon will hit the cinemas on June 11, 2027.
