In his latest interview, Ram Charan has explained why he prefers doing his own action/stunt scenes instead of using body doubles. "Audiences can easily spot dupes/body doubles in action scenes these days," the Mega Power Star commented. This is thanks to better video quality, scrutiny, etc.
He further reasoned that the audience appreciate and love it more when the hero performs the stunts authentically. "Even at the age of 71, my father performs his own stunts despite my requests to him against it," the Game Changer actor said, adding that he likes to be bona fide in action scenes.
During the shoot of Peddi, he performed extensive and intense Kusthi fights, ending up breaking his wrist and nearly injuring his eye. Two surgeries have been performed to rectify the injuries.
Peddi's trailer was unveiled recently. Speaking at the event in Mumbai, Ram Charan thanked Aamir Khan and Salman Khan for doing Dangal and Sulthan, respectively. These two films, too, had a wrestling element.
