Speaking at Monday's event to release Vadhalane from Chennai Love Story, Kiran Abbavaram said that he can't wait for the movie's theatrical release. "I am asking my producers to bring it out as soon as possible," Kiran said.
The KA actor is confident that the very first visual in the film will be seen as a memorable, heart-touching one. The emotional nature of CLS is so intense that he couldn't control his tears while listening to one of the scenes during the narration stage. He thanked Melody Brahma Mani Sharma for composing seven songs for the movie, each of which will be better than the rest.
Producer Sai Rajesh revealed that he specifically requested seven pure melodies for the film because audiences have been missing Mani Sharma's classic style. Acknowledging the team's effort, he credited lyricist Anantha Sriram and director Ravi Namburi for how the heartbreaking song Vadhalane came together, noting that it takes real courage for a director to conceive such a track visually. He recalled Mani Sharma once saying that some songs slowly grow on people and stay in their hearts forever. He explained that Kiran delivered an outstanding performance that was intentionally hidden in the lyrical video for the big screen, while Sri Gouri Priya gave her heart and soul to her central character.
Co-producer Dheeraj Mogilineni predicted that CLS will gross Rs 100 Cr for sure. This was a terrific statement revealing his confidence.
Actress Sri Gouri Priya revealed that she once was a budding singer who was inspired by Mani Sharma's music. She described CLS as a music-oriented film. "Vadhalane won’t leave you anytime soon," she told music lovers.
Expressing delight at meeting fellow composers, Sinjith Yerramilli shared his admiration for everyone present. He praised the "superb music" of Chennai Love Story, adding, “I hope ‘Vadhalane’ becomes a massive hit.” Meanwhile, Hari Gowra stated that he didn't feel qualified to speak on Mani Sharma’s legendary music, noting that it can only be celebrated. He lauded director Ravi Namburi, saying, “His vision can be clearly seen in the montage shots.”
Madhavapeddi Suresh called Mani Sharma a close family friend and one of the finest creators of timeless blockbusters. Predicting another hit, he praised Anantha Sriram’s lyrics alongside the lead actors. Mark K Robin agreed, sharing how he grew up listening to the veteran composer. He remarked, “Sharing the stage with him today is an honor".
As a former disciple, Sweekar Agasthi admitted his fandom is so deep that he promoted this movie's first single over his own film's release. He thanked Kiran and the team for “bringing such beautiful melodies from him” once again. Celebrating his 15-year career and 50 films, Sricharan Pakala dedicated his entire body of work to Mani Sharma. He confessed his love for Vadhalane, stating he would listen to it forever while wishing the film iconic success.
Vivek Sagar expressed his happiness at attending the launch, praised the new song, and extended his best wishes to the team. Chaitan Bharadwaj noted that Mani Sharma has dedicated his life to music and constantly encourages newcomers.
Recalling his addiction to Mani Sharma's music, Suresh Bobbili shared how he used to travel long distances just to buy his cassettes, noting that every director present has been influenced by him. Anup Rubens revealed that the veteran composer inspired him to become a keyboard player. Commenting on the lead pair's chemistry, Rubens remarked, “The film feels like an intense love story... ‘Chennai Love Story’ already gives musical blockbuster vibes.”
Kalyani Malik praised filmmakers SKN and Sai Rajesh for delivering beautiful visuals and music, adding that the film prioritizes a heartfelt script over star image. Finally, cinematographer Daniel Viswas revealed that Vadhalane was the very first song narrated to him. “The emotions and vibes you feel while listening to this song will be ten times stronger in theatres," he added.
The event was graced by the iconic composer MM Keeravani as the chief guest. The Varanasi composer shared that he became a fan of Sai Rajesh after watching Baby, adding that the visuals and songs of Chennai Love Story suggest it will match that high standard as a feel-good film. He praised his friend Mani Sharma’s beautiful composition, calling it "haunting". He noted that having seven songs in a romance practically guarantees a blockbuster since music is the soul of a love story.
Chennai Love Story is touted to be the biggest love story of 2026 in terms of its commercial potential.
