Manoj Manchu recently visited the MatruDevobhava Anadha Ashramam. His visit was part of the Celebrity Tho Punarjanma Challenge. During the visit, the Mirai actor helped rehabilitate an orphaned and mentally unstable man named Santhosh.

Manoj paused his busy filming schedule to attend the ashram. He personally helped Santhosh with a "complete makeover". This included a haircut, a shave, fresh clothes, and grooming assistance. The visible transformation was a deeply moving moment for everyone present. Santhosh was found as a destitute in Chaderghat.

The Plight of the Homeless

Manoj spoke emotionally about the condition of mentally distressed homeless individuals. He noted that orphanages and old-age homes often receive occasional support. However, people wandering the roads with mental instabilities are frequently ignored.

The actor stated that many people still treat these individuals poorly due to their appearance and behavior. He expressed frustration that people walk away despite having modern medical resources in 2026. Manoj argued that ignoring this suffering is a failure of humanity. He noted that just thirty minutes of care can help a person regain dignity. He expressed hope that Santhosh will eventually reunite with his family.

Plans for Long-Term Rehabilitation

The visit deeply affected the actor. He now wants to focus on long-term rehabilitation systems rather than temporary gestures. Manoj is already planning a sports rehabilitation center. He revealed that he is now also considering an inclusive care facility for psychologically distressed individuals.

Manoj stressed the importance of medical support. He stated that the Telugu community has many capable doctors who can contribute to this cause. He also plans to provide assistance through the AIKYA DHAIRYA SENA SAMITHI, which he co-founded with his wife, Mounika Bhuma.

Immediate Support for the Ashram

During his visit, Manoj saw residents eating meals under trees because they lacked proper facilities. He immediately promised to arrange tables and chairs for the ashram as soon as possible.

The ashram currently focuses on rehabilitating abandoned men. The organizers hope to expand their support systems to women in the future. They requested assistance from Manoj to arrange psychiatric support. The management explained that transporting mentally distressed individuals for treatment is currently one of their biggest operational challenges.

Update on Film Projects

Manoj is currently balancing his social outreach with his film career. His large-scale action film David Reddy is progressing quickly. Nearly 40% of the shooting for that project is now complete.

Meanwhile, his next film Rakshak is gearing up for a grand launch. Manoj is also working on a project titled Mohana Raga. He continues to focus on his physical transformation alongside his upcoming slate of production commitments.
