From Peddi to Fauzi and many more: Second half of 2026 to be huge

The second half of 2026 is shaping up to be one of the busiest phases for Telugu cinema, after a lull that lasted four months. Around 20 major releases are expected to hit theatres. The lineup includes big-budget spectacles, experimental dramas, commercial entertainers, and pan-Indian projects.

Among the most anticipated titles are Ram Charan's Peddi, Prabhas' Fauzi, Chiranjeevi's Vishwambhara, Venkatesh's Aadarsha Kutumbam, Nani's The Paradise, Vijay Deverakonda's Ranabaali, Ravi Teja's Irumudi, and Samantha's Maa Inti Bangaram. These films represent different genres and target both domestic and overseas audiences. (Note: if Vijay's Rowdy Janardhana is not pushed to 2027, the actor is going to have two solid releases this year). Industry discussions suggest that Nagarjuna may announce his 100th film for this year. NBK111 might also be a late-2026 release.

Another strong set of releases includes Naga Chaitanya's Vrushakarma, Nikhil Siddhartha's Swayambhu (its VFX volume is Baahubalian), Sai Dharam Tej's Sambarala Yeti Gattu (his most expensive movie), Suriya's Viswanath & Sons, Kiran Abbavaram's Chennai Love Story, Anand Deverakonda's EPIC, Akhil Akkineni's Lenin, Varun Tej's Korean Kanakaraju, VISA (important because it is produced by Sithara Entertainments), Gopichand's BharataVarsha - Saga of Shula, and Sharwanand's Bhogi. Many of these films are expected to rely heavily on strong concepts or large-scale production values or both.

Actors are also lining up important career projects. Sree Vishnu and Vishwak Sen are expected to have important releases, including a Mythri Movie Makers production, Legacy and Cult. Manchu Manoj is preparing David Reddy. Big-budget fantasy film Naga Bandham is up for a notable release. Satyadev is also expected to appear in Rao Bahadur and Samavarthi.
