Bollywood actor Bobby Deol recently wrapped up shooting for spy-universe film, Alpha. The Yash Raj Films movie is headlined by Alia Bhatt, whom the Telugu audience know as the talented RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi actress. A well-researched spy movie, it also features Sharvari in a lead role.

Bobby found shooting for the women-led movie quite refreshing. He then shared his long-standing desire to work with both Ranbir Kapoor and Alia. Having recently starred alongside Ranbir in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, he has now checked the second wish off his bucket list with Alpha. The "deeply fulfilling" experience brings a "completely fresh visual palette to Indian cinema theatres".

Awe-struck by Alia:

Bobby was particularly struck by Alia's intense dedication to her role. In a statement, he lauded her "hardworking and sincere" nature on set. Alia arrived on set completely prepared and deeply invested in every single scene. "I was amazed by her preparation, especially since she had never attempted brutal action sequences before. I could clearly see her giving the role absolutely everything she had," the actor added.

The challenging nature of the project required a lot of effort from everyone involved. Bobby explained that producer Aditya Chopra and director Shiv Rawail maintained a clear vision for raw, realistic action.

Bobby's long innings in Hindi cinema:

Bobby has had an enduring career in Bollywood. He first captured the audience's attention in the late 1990s and early 2000s with a string of major hits. He became a household name with the romantic thriller Gupt and the action-packed Soldier. He later delivered acclaimed performances in films like Badal, Bichhoo, and the romantic thriller Humraaz.

About the YRF spy universe:

The universe came alive with the popular Tiger franchise, frontlined by Salman Khan and the ravishing Katrina Kaif. Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai were followed by Hrithik Roshan's War, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Tiger 3. Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR's War 2 is its most recent avatar. After its release, we can also expect Pathaan 2 and Tiger vs Pathaan.

Alpha will hit the cinemas on July 10.
