For the salaried middle class, Equated Monthly Installments represent a constant financial balancing act. The monthly paycheck arrives and vanishes instantly into various loans and household expenses. Every month becomes a delicate dance of managing debts while trying to hold onto simple everyday joys. A story built around this universal struggle was truly the need of the hour. Cinematic stories about middle-class financial stress resonate deeply with everyday people. Taking up this relevant theme, 7 PM Productions has officially launched its new feature film titled EMI.
The banner, which has previously bankrolled The Great Pre-Wedding Show, is now backing this relatable project to bring fresh stories to light. The production house aims to build on its recent success by giving opportunities to vibrant new artists.
The film introduces a fresh lead pair to headline this middle-class story. Darahas (Lal Salaam and Hostel Days fame) makes his feature film debut as the lead actor. Opposite him, Shailaja takes on her first lead role after gaining recognition for her performance in Little Hearts.
What is to be expected from EMI? Not melodrama for sure. The film is designed as a complete entertainer that blends humor with genuine emotional depth. The makers believe the relatable narrative will touch both young audiences and family viewers alike.
A dedicated team of creative technicians backs this fresh concept. Nikhil Kuvvarapu has written the script and directs the feature. Mahidhar Kurapati acts as creative director. Fahad Abdul Majeed handles the cinematography, and Sridhar Sompalli manages the editing. Madhav Prasad composes the music score, complemented by lyrics from Sanare. Sai Maneendar Reddy oversees sound design, Sudheer Macherla works as production designer, and Meghana Seshavapuri designs the costumes. Sandeep Agaram and Ashmitha Reddy Basani produce the project under 7 PM Productions.
7 PM Productions plans to maintain this strong creative momentum over the coming years. They are already planning another ambitious project with Rahul Srinivas following their previous hit collaboration. Details regarding the cast and crew for that next venture will be revealed shortly. The production house intends to release a series of back-to-back films focused on fresh ideas and unique concepts. Through EMI, they hope to deliver an entertaining film that captures the authentic beats of middle-class life.
