Movies will wait a full 90 days before reaching streaming platforms like Max and Paramount Plus. Reaching a goal of 30 annual releases requires a major strategic shift in studio strategy. A company cannot rely solely on big-ticket blockbusters to fill such a slate. Audiences can expect a return of original comedies, suspense thrillers, and mid-tier genre films that streaming services had largely pushed aside.
