As per the Bollywood media, Hindi film producers are hunting for godly stories in the wake of the sleeper hit, Hanuman Ansh. This film, which started out on a humble note, has caught up like anything. As per Sacnilk, its India gross collections stood at Rs 145 Cr in 30 days. The film's budget is all of Rs 2 Cr.
Hanuman Ansh's stupendous success is inspiring major studios to rush to announce similar projects. Biopics of saints, and devotional dramas are going to be made to capitalize on momentum. Eventually, market saturation is going to kick in. "Dozens of similar titles will flood the market until diminishing returns force another shift in audience preference," a commentator shared. "The staggering outcome of Hanuman Ansh is a once-a-decade phenomenon that a Bhakti movie worked. Otherwise, no one spends money in the theatre for it. In the past, another movie came on Neem Karoli Baba, but it did not work," a movie buff wrote.
In Telugu, director Prasanth Varma is currently making Jai Hanuman, starring Rishab Shetty in the lead.
