Tollywood composer RP Patnaik, who shot to fame in the early 2000s with chartbuster albums like Chitram, Manasantha Nuvve and Nuvvu Nenu, met Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) Chairman B Sridhar Varma at the channel’s Tirupati office, on Sunday. During the courtesy visit, RP Patnaik congratulated the Chairman on his recent appointment.

Patnaik, also known for being an actor and a director, shared details of his recent devotional works during the interaction. His contributions include the Deva Karunamrutham album, which features sacred chants such as Lakshmi Narayanastotram, Datta Padukastotram, and Datta Chinmayastotram. He also discussed his spiritual single Appa Appa Ayyappa and the Lord Rama devotion song Pibare Rama Rasam. Additionally, Patnaik briefed the Chairman on his ambitious 18-chapter project, Sampoorna Bhagavad Gita Tattvam.

B. Sridhar Varma commended Patnaik for his dedication to spiritual music and praised the high quality of his compositions. He expressed gratitude for the visit and welcomed Patnaik’s interest in partnering with the devotional channel. "The discussion focused on potential collaborations to showcase devotional series and special spiritual programming. Patnaik expressed a strong keenness to produce and organize religious content for SVBC's global audience in the coming months," a source says.

Operated under the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), SVBC is India’s first public-sector devotional network. The channel continues to enhance its programming lineup with live temple broadcasts, religious discourses, and traditional music recitations to serve devotees worldwide. This proposed collaboration aims to enrich the channel's devotional offerings through high-quality musical compositions.
