Chaithanya Reddy, one of the producers of Sai Dharam Tej's Sambarala Yeti Gattu, has confirmed that the film's budget is upwards of Rs 100 Cr. This makes it the most expensive film in SDT's career.
In her latest interview, she mentioned that she and her husband have been cautioned by her brother about the ballooning budget. She is unfazed because she is taking inspiration from the audacity of the producers of spectacle movies such as Baahubali. "When Avatar was made, did it have that kind of a market? They are investing something like Rs 800-1200 Cr on Varanasi. What is their confidence? If we keep fearing failures, there won't be progress," Chaithanya Reddy shared. She has previously bankrolled HanuMan. She and her fellow producer, Niranjan Reddy, are trusting the vision of a debutant filmmaker named KP Rohit, by the way.
Co-starring Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jagapathi Babu, Ananya Nagalla, Sai Kumar and Srikanth, Sambarala Yeti Gattu should have been released more than a year ago. It will head to theatres on 12 January 2027.
