Tinseltown's favourite hangout just got a fresh leadership lineup. The Film Nagar Cultural Club has wrapped up its much-awaited elections, and veteran producer KS Rama Rao now takes the reins as President.
Joining him on the new panel are Mullapudi Mohan as Secretary, Sadashiva Reddy as Vice President, Shailaja handling the Treasurer's post, and S.N. Reddy stepping in as Joint Secretary. Rounding out the committee are Edida Raja, Krishnaraju, Srinivasa Raju, Kishore, Kaja Suryanarayana, Muralimohan Rao, Bhaskar Naidu, Balaraju and Nagasushma, giving the club a fairly packed roster to work with.
Industry heavyweights, including actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna and producer-distributor Dil Raju, are known to frequent FNCC events, and their continued patronage is expected to keep the club's cultural calendar buzzing this year.
Mohan's Big Win Steals The Spotlight
If there is one name that dominated the ballot count, it's Mullapudi Mohan. He pulled in a whopping 1,013 votes, clinching the Secretary's chair for a second straight term. Mohan isn't new to this world either, having previously served on the Telangana TTD Local Advisory Committee and once held the Vice President's post at FNCC ("I will strive for the welfare and development of the FNCC and try my best to make it No. 1 in Hyderabad. I will make sure that we conduct many more cultural activities" were his words at the time), where he was credited with organising a string of sports and cultural events that boosted the club's standing across South India.
What makes his win stand out further is that he was the sole candidate from the KS Rama Rao panel to actually seal a victory.
