The pre-release event of 'Varudu Kaavalenu' was held on Wednesday evening at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad. Allu Arjun graced the occasion as a chief guest. (The film releases on October 29).

Speaking on the occasion, Bunny said that the song 'Digu Digu Naga' from the movie has been playing on loop at his home. His daughter, Arha, has developed a strong liking for the number. The 'Pushpa' actor thanked the crowds for attending the event and making it a success.

"I have watched almost all of Naga Shaurya's movies. He is a handsome, sweet, innocent guy. I hope he becomes a big star," Bunny said. He added that Shaurya is a self-made actor. "I have liked Ritu Varma since her first movie. She is a Telugu girl and I have a soft corner for Telugu-speaking actresses. She looks dignified. As for debutante director Lakshmi Sowjanya, I am glad that a woman has directed this movie. We need more and more women to enter the film industry like it is the case in Mumbai, where a unit can comprise of 50% women," Bunny said.

"Without Naga Vamsi, my film 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' wouldn't have been possible. He is the producer of 'Varudu Kaavalenu' and I wish him all the best," Allu Arjun added.

Trivikram Srinivas, who was another chief guest, said, "I have watched 'Varudu Kaavalenu'. I want to congratulate cinematographer Vamsi Patchipulusu, Naga Shaurya, Ritu Varma, dialogue-writer Ganesh Ravuri, and director Lakshmi Sowjanya. Their work will leave a strong impact on you. The film feels like a family member's story. There is a song that comes in the flashback. It is going to click big time. Vishal Chandrasekhar's music is superb for the song. You will see Ritu wearing a saree throughout."

Naga Shaurya thanked music directors Thaman and Vishal for their work. He also mentioned Navin Nooli's editing in his speech. "Murali Sharma garu's character in the movie has moved me. People who have watched the movie have told me that I am looking more handsome than ever. Hats off to producer China Babu garu," the hero said.
