Vishwak Sen blasts TV9 Devi Nagavalli after controversy

On Sunday, the team of 'Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam' orchestrated a prank on a busy road in Hyderabad. A junior artist was roped in for the prank. He literally stopped Vishwak Sen's vehicle in the middle of the road and blackmailed that he would immolate himself if Arjun Kumar Allam (Sen's character in the film) doesn't find a suitable match. "How can Arjun Kumar remain a bachelor at the age of 33? If some Telangana girl doesn't show interest in him, I will die," the guy, who claims to be saddened by Arjun Kumar's single status, screams. He even pours a liquid on himself, threatening to set his own body on fire. At this, Sen stops him and sends him off, clearing the traffic.

TV9 slammed the prank, saying that it is an offense to fake a suicide attempt. The channel went on to call Vishwak Sen 'Paagal Sen' for resorting to a 'cheap trick' to ensure publicity for his film.

The 'Falaknuma Das' actor lost his cool while in the TV9 studio today. He lashed out at host Devi Nagavalli. "I can file a case against you. But if I do it, there will be no difference between you and me," Sen told the anchor. Devi Nagavalli shouted back and asked the actor to get out of the studio. "It is you f*cking who invited me over to your studio," the 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' actor shot back.

'Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam' hits the cinemas on May 6.
