Nandita Swetha pins hopes on 'female hero'

After 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada', Nandita Swetha hasn't been lucky at all. She is almost a forgotten actress. Her recent release, 'Hidimbha', sank without a trace.

After playing a cop in 'Hidimbha', Nandita is once again playing a cop in 'Mangalavaaram'. She hopes that the thriller, directed by 'RX 100' maker Ajay Bhupathi, will help her in a turnaround. "I see myself as one of the heroines of the film. I am a cop surrounded by male characters. Since I am dominant, I see myself as a 'female hero' of 'Mangalavaaram'," Swetha recently said.

The November 17th release is her biggest hope in years. Payal Rajput is its protagonist.

Recently, the actress justified doing a kissing scene in 'Hidimbha', adding that it was required. "I usually stay away from intimate scenes. This script made it essential for me to do such a scene... The scene is a welcome romantic break in an out-and-out serious movie like this," the 'Bluff Master' and 'Kalki' actress said.
