Shah Rukh Khan is this year's Numero Uno star of Indian cinema. His latest release, ‘Jawan’, made history on Thursday by amassing massive openings at the box office. Its Hindi version netted the highest-ever tally in India by minting about Rs 65 Cr on Day 1. The film is also going great guns in Telugu. 'Jawan' is witnessing a craze in the Telugu States as though it was a straight Telugu film starring a top Telugu actor.

The scale of openings is stunning, especially when you consider that the producers organized just two promotional events (a grand function in Chennai and another event in Dubai). What has ticked for the action entertainer? Here are some of the factors that have helped it gain tremendous buzz and register scorching openings.

1. From the start, Red Chilies Entertainment unveiled each and every promotional content simultaneously in both Telugu and Tamil along with Hindi. This showed the seriousness of the creators to woo the southern audience.

2. The presence of the vivacious Nayanthara, the versatile Vijay Sethupathu in front of the camera and the proven southern talents (read director Atlee, music director Anirudh Ravichander, and cinematographer GK Vishnu) behind the camera, convinced the audience that this is going to be fresh as well as the ultimate masala experience. The combination of South and Bollywood is at its sexiest best in the case of 'Jawan'.

3. Humongous publicity costs running into crores of rupees in an attempt to ensure maximum buzz in both Telugu and Tamil. This model is expected to be followed by other Bollywood production houses in the future.

4. Composer Anirudh and his image have played a crucial role as well. His BGM has been talked about by the Hindi, Telugu and Tamil audiences everywhere. He is seen as a rockstar who can steal the show with his Midas Touch.

5. Bulk advance bookings by die-hard SRK fans. The sort of craze is comparable to what Telugu and Tamil film legends have enjoyed.
