How did you get involved in acting?
I started modeling when I was studying. and never thought that I will enter in movies.  I was happy doing modeling. Once I got a call from a production house and I went to give audition and I got selected for a Hindi movie call "Don Muthuswami". At that time I was too young to think anything. I got so excited because Mithun Chakraborty was playing my father and Rohit Roy was opposite me. So I just took the opportunity and started Shooting. It was directed by Ashim Samanta who is a son of the legend director 'Shakti Samanta'. That's how it's started.

Life at school and college?
Life at school and college was so much fun. I was a very naughty student but I used to study  well.  I was very favorite of my friends.

What is your educational background?
I have finished graduation. I was modeling and doing movies when I was studying. My father is a very strict person. He gave me permission to acting and modeling only on one condition that I have to finish study.

From where have you learned acting?
Honestly I believe nobody who can teach you acting. It's something you have to feel from inside. You just can learn the techniques. And you just can improve by learning. I learned acting from a private tutored who is very famous in Mumbai and who taught many heroes and heroines who all are big stars in Bollywood now.

What kind of roles do you prefer?
As an actor I cannot say or demand any kind of role. But yes I want to be a versatile actress. I want to do all kind of roles. From glamour doll to the glamorized role, I want to prove my acting scale. I want to play poor girl to rich girl, village girl to ultra modern, and introvert girl to extrovert. I want to try all kind of roles.

How long have you been an actor? From where did you get started?
I have started my modeling in the age of 17.  And then I have got a Hindi movie which I told you in your earlier question. Later I got a call for a Bengali movie which was a big movie. The director won national award twice.  So obviously I said yes to that movie too. I played double role in that movie and people appreciated me and my acting skills.  When I was shooting for that Bengali movie I got a call for a Telugu movie call "Vankai Fry" and that was my 1st Telugu movie. Then I got another Bengali movie call "Bikram Singho". opposite superstar of Bengal " Prosenjit Chaterjee".  Finally I got a call for "Ishta Sakhi ".   And when I heard "Ishta Sakhi" story I was totally freaking out because the story was so good. I am playing the title role in it.  So I was very excited to do this film.

In how many films you have performed up till now?
After ‘Ishta Sakhi’, I’m doing two more Telugu movies. One is 'Amrutam" where am playing opposite Raja. And the second, am Shooting for my most ambitious movie "Heroine”.  Apart from this I’m also doing two Bengali movies right now. One is called "Barrage 86’ and the other one is "Moner Majhe Tumi". So altogether I did about 9 movies till now. Are you working on any current projects?
Right now I’m Shooting continuously for my upcoming Telugu movie "Heroine". It's a great story of a girl.  I’m playing the title role in it. My role has two different shades in this movie. And I am so super excited for the film “Heroine”. I have to finish my last schedule of "Amrutam". And I need to finish "Barrage 86" too.

What kind of roles have you performed throughout your career? Are you satisfied with them?
I think till now I have done all the different roles. In "Ishta Sakhi" I m playing a college girl but there is a twist in the story and people will get surprised to see me in different shades. My character has lot of emotions, fun loving and sentimental.  It’s a very fresh and youthful story.  In ‘Amrutam’, I have played a very simple poor girl. It’s a very introvert sweet girl character.  In ‘Heroine’, it is totally different.  People will love my role in “Heroine”. It’s a suspense thriller.  In this character, I carry lot of emotions and sentiments.  As an actor I cannot b satisfied. I want to do more movies with different roles.

Tell me about an area in which you would like to improve as an actor?
I would like to improve all the villages.  I want to do lot of NGO and charity. I want to help poor people, orphan kids and old people. And definitely will do something for them.

Which has been your favorite character that you have performed?
The "Ishta Sakhi" role is very close to my heart and definitely I’m loving my role of "Heroine”. I’m really lucky to get one such role at the initial stage of my carrier.  I thank God for being so kind to me. I think I have hardly struggled to get movies and am lucky enough to do good movies.

What are your strong points as an actor?
I think I carry emotions of my every role. While giving performance I completely forget that I’m Anusmriti. I totally get into that character and try to make it as real as I can.  Compliments pour in for my smile which I consider it as my biggest asset.

What do you prefer, theater acting or movie acting?
Of course movie acting. Now I believe in only movies. I eat movies, I drink movies, I sleep movies. so only movies movies and movies.

How did you feel the first time performing?
I was very nervous when I 1st faced the camera. But gradually my senior actors made me feel so comfortable. and I have done my work nicely.

What is the hardest part of being a celebrity?
The hardest part of being a Celebrity is I can't go anywhere and everywhere the way I used to go before I turned Celebrity. And most of the time I’m out of town so I get hardly any time to spend with my family. That is the hardest part for me. But still am enjoying my Celebrity status.

What is your view point on film industry?
I just love film industry and am very thankful to the industry to accept me and welcome me so well. Especially I want to thank the south industry.

What were your thoughts before entering the field?
I did not know how people would react with me as I don’t belong to a filmy background.  My father is a businessman and my mother is a house wife.  So I had no idea about film industry. But I’m so comfortable now being a part of this industry.

Whenever you are feeling down, how does your family encourage you?
My family is always supportive to me. They always support me in every way. So whenever I feel down they plan for me and keep giving me surprises like lot of gifts, holiday and shopping so that I forget that I’m down or low.  I am very great full and thankful to my family to being there always in my good times and bad times. My dad mom and my two younger sisters are my strength.
