Janatha Garage is all set to come to theatres. NTR has pinned lots of hopes on this film. The actor talks at length about the film and how he has evolved as an actor.
Tell us about Janatha Garage?
It has been a pleasant experience. The script was amazing and I knew that I will get a chance to perform in this movie. It was difficult as Koratala Siva wanted me to emote differently everytime. I feel that I have grown up with this film as an actor.
Your priority is becoming an actor than a star...
Several things have influenced me. My son’s birth, my age and time has propelled me into a different path. I want to try variety of roles. My take is that only then will the audience appreciate you. Star hero tag does not interest me anymore.
Was it difficult to transform post Nannaku Prematho?
Yes, it was. My look, my costume and everything is different here. My stylist Ashwin has done a great job. A simple look has been tried so that I connect with all.
I am huge fan personally. Mohanlal is a content actor and he inspires a lot. I have learnt many things from him.
What do you think the fate of Janatha Garage will be?
Personally I am happy the way this film has shaped up. It has been an amazing experience doing this film. If everyone is happy with the film, I will be glad.
Your speech on the audio launch was emotional.
I am aging. Thing were different ten years ago. You and I were different. Now I think right and positive.
Tell us about Nithya and Samantha?
Both have done well and have good roles in the film. It was a amazing experience working with them.
Fans are fighting for their heroes, how does that feel?
I am happy that fans love us so much, but when they fight and go to any extent, its scary.
