'Alluri' is the title of an upcoming Sree Vishnu-starrer. Producer Bekkam Venugopal of Lucky Media, while announcing its promotions today, appeared in the dress of a cop since the 'Raja Raja Chora' actor is playing a cop in the movie.
The film will hit the cinemas on Sept 23. From Sept 3, its promotional tour will be held for about two weeks.
It has been a 15-year journey at Lucky Media for me. I have mostly made family entertainers. For a change, I wanted to make an action drama. This is when director Pradeep Varma pitched the idea of 'Alluri' and that's how it all started.
'Alluri' is an emotional and powerful story of a cop. Many individuals have the desire to become a police officer. I too had such a desire as a child. In 'Alluri', we have shown both the professional and personal lives of the protagonist. The film is his entire journey.
While the budget did go up after the movie was begun, nothing went waste. The budget we have spent will be visible.
The shoot of the movie came to an end on Wednesday. Currently, post-production works are going on.
A Yatra will be begun on Sept 3 after paying homage to the Samadhi of Alluri Sitaramaraju in Vizag. It is going to be a 12-day tour. We will be honouring some of the brave and decorated cops during our tour. A grand pre-release event will be held. The trailer will be released 10 days after the tour takes off.
It was with our movie 'Prema Ishq Kadhal' that Sree Vishnu started his career. We are happy to have reunited with him.
I have always had Dil Raju garu's support. I am going to screen 'Alluri' to him in a week's time.
