Navadeep birthday chitchat

Young and handsome hero Navdeep is celebrating his 23 birthday today. Teja’s introduction Navdeep, who was seen on ‘Jai’ is a very busy hero now. He shot into prominence through Krishna Vamsi’s ‘Chandamama’. Other projects keeping him busy are, ‘Yaagam’, ‘Arya-II’ in Telugu and Aegan in Tamil. Inspite of his busy schedule, he could steal sometime to share a few words with Ragalahari. Some excerpts are

How are you going to celebrate this birthday?
I’ve been partying at Touch for the past two years and this time also it’s no different. I enjoy partying there.

Any new friends?
A person like me who is loved by all is never short of friends and it’s always addition.

What was your memorable gift last year? And what was your birthday resolution last year?
When it comes to gifts I got a memorable one last year. It’s a home theatre.

On resolutions, I do not believe that the resolution alone should control me, instead I keep doing things and correcting myself as and when an opportunity arises.

BTW how old are you officially?
I’m twenty-three (smiles)

Can you give us an idea about your current project Yaagam?
I’m not authorized to say more than this but you will see really something very different on the screen.  Way away from today’s flicks.

Is Bhumika’s role in Yaagam heroine?
Yes, she plays a heroine.

How was it acting with a senior and more experienced actress like Bhumika?
She was very sweet and hassle free.

Your character in Chandamama was very lively and energetic.  How do you compare Yaagam’s character with this?
My character in Yaagam is a very intense one, nothing like I’ve done before.

There is lot of news about different scenes in Yagam. Can you narrate an important scene?
As I explained earlier it is an experiment and would like to avoid more speculations about it. Narrating even a scene from Yaagam would spoil the essence of it.

Is there any other project on the cards with Krishna Vamsi?
Not yet, but would love to work with KV again.

You are seeing Vikram and Kamal Hassan trying all kinds of experiments, did you ever get a chance to do one such role?
I really like the roles and characters they did. It needs quite a lot of time and efforts.

You are also working in the sequel of Arya, right.  How is it working with Allu Arjun?
Arjun is a good friend of mine and work in Arya sets is a lot of fun.

Kajal is acting for second time with you, seems some chemistry is working out properly.
Definitely lot of chemistry, hopefully would show on screen too.

You acted in both Tamil and Telugu. Is it the same or is it a totally different experience?
Yes, it’s an entirely different experience. Working with different directors and different co-actors gives an entirely a different atmosphere and leads to a lot of learning.

Any more projects in Tamil?
Sinam (Anger) and Solla Solla Inikkum (The more you say, the more the sweeter).

How is it working with a senior hero like Ajith?
Ajith is the best hero ever, he is a sweetheart.

You seem to be creating a trend among young heroes in doing more of multi-starrers. Any specific reasons?
If the story needs me, I would act with anyone, I am not insecure.

How do you overcome the language barrier in Tamil?
I can speak Tamil now. So, no problem.

Your asset is the powerful and unique eyes. Will you be interested in doing a film in Bollywood given a chance?
Definitely yes, but would prefer a good start so not in a hurry yet, for Hindi.

What is your dream role?
Any role that is challenging.

By the way, how many releases do you have this year altogether?
I’m working on many projects and I am expecting around 4 or 5 releases in both Telugu and Tamil put together.

When is Yagam releasing?
It’s progressing briskly and God willing the movie should hit the theatres by March.

Any message to your fans on this birthday?
For everyone who loves me, I’m so grateful and will keep entertaining you always.

With one such pleasant message to all his fans, this handsome hero who is sure to be in headlines for quite sometime signed off for yet another eventful year.
