The short film ‘I AM THAT CHANGE’ in which Allu Argun has acted and produced was released on Thursday in Hyderabad. Sukumar has directed while Amol Rathod handled the camera.
After the screening of the short film, Allu Arjun said, “My father is a producer who has produced numerous films and all the infrastructure needed for making a film are in place. For me, even with all these comforts, it has become very difficult for me to make a short film. I’m really astonished by looking at the people who make short films with just a thought in mind and with the passion towards making short films. I respect them. After the short film I’m connecting to them in a much better way. I am encouraging the people who have passion towards making short films. While watching few govt. ads and social awareness Ads I used to feel that the concepts were good but if they were supported by good production houses and infrastructure, they look much better. I too wanted to do short films but I thought that people don’t care if I include a social message in the short film. At that time I started thing about the society and wanted to convey my message to the society in a new way. I felt that everyone, the students, my fans and common people are doing something for the society and being a film actor I too should do something. I told the same to Sukumar and he readily agreed to work in the project. Everyone who worked for this short film have either taken very less or no remuneration. Sukumar would feel it as an insult if I say thanks to him. He has readied the concept within two days. The short film will be available on you tube starting from 8:30 pm, Thursday. For the question, why on August 15th? As it is the Independence Day and a public holiday, everyone will be at home so they can watch it so that it will be reach many people. We are enjoying the Independence which we got with the sacrifices of our ancestors. In front of all those sacrifices, my week’s time and few bucks are literally negligible. We can see the short film in theaters starting from Friday.”
Sukumar said, “If I’m in need of money, I can take it from Bunny’s pocket. That is the freedom I had with Bunny. The chore concept of this short film is given by Bunny. Everyone will do the good to the society to their capabilities. Bunny told this concept and said that we have to work on it. We started the shooting the next day. Thanks to Bunny who has taken the lead. For the first time, I felt proud to see my name as the director in the titles of the short film.”
