Mahesh Babu Interview on BAN

Bharat Ane Nenu is ready for a grand release on April 20. Mahesh Babu talks about the film and his plans for the year ahead.

How does it feel, it is a big film?
I am feeling very happy. The film is getting bigger and I would love to see what the audience have to say about it. This phase of the film’s pre-release is simply amazing.

How did you prepare for this role?
This is the toughest role that I have done till date. The dialogues were big and some had the political tone as well. My brother-in-law Jayadeva Galla’s speeches helped me a lot. I took inspiration from him for the role. It was not easy but my director helped me a lot.

This is a special film in your career…
Yes I realised that the day I heard the script of this film. I was working on something special. The song of Bharat gave me goose bumps. Surely this film will have great impact on the society.

How will the politicians react to this film?
My feeling is that it will make them more responsible towards the society. I am sure they will like this film.

What is the film’s impact on you?
Politics is no joke for sure, that’s what I have understood. It is not as easy as it looks. After this film I feel more responsible socially.

Will this be a huge hit?
Things are looking good. The film has come out well. The script and the scenes have come out well. I am confident that it will create a huge impact.

Two of your previous films were flops…
Yes. I am done with experimenting. I don’t want to do it anymore. Now on I will do movies which my fans like.

Will you be joining politics?
Nope. I am not interested in that. Movies is my first and last love, as far as my career is concerned. Politics to something different. I respect that profession but that is not for me.

Future films?
I will be working with Vamsi Paidipally from June first week. Most of the film will be shot in the US. Post that I will be working with Sandeep Reddy and Sukumar for my next projects.
