Sania Mirza anounces her Marriage Date with Shoaib Malik

Tennis star Sania Mirza made an announcement about her wedding with Pakistan cricket player Shoaib Malik. She visited New Delhi to acquire the visa for Pakistan as the reception will be held at Lahore.

In her brief interaction with the media Sania said, “Yes! We are getting married. It has nothing to do with Indo-Pakistan relations. We are getting married like any other couple and our families have reacted positively. We are very happy about that. This apart, I’ve been receiving best wishes messages from people of India as well as Pakistan.”

In her statement she mentioned that her marriage will take place at Hyderabad on April 15th with Pakistan cricket player Shoaib Malik. She also declared that they would be settling down in Dubai.

Further speaking she made it very clear that she would hold her Indian passport and play for India in Olympics 2012. Interestingly when asked which country she would support in India v/s Pakistan cricket match, “Obviously India”! was her answer. However, Sania refused to talk anything regarding Shoaib saying that it is absolutely her personal.
