Ishita’s designs exhibited simplicity and elegance consisting of silhouettes consciously designed neither to be heavy nor serious. Noted designer from Chennai, Nazia Sayed showcased her collection ‘Anastasia-is the story of a charmed Russian princess who visits India and falls in love with the culture, history, art and joie de vivre that its people so uniquely embody.
The collection was a fusion of the East and the West where Russian embroidery patterns meet Indian fabrics, style and sensibilities. With the exquisitely crafted Russian ‘jewel’ – the Faberge Egg, as the foremost inspiration behind this stunning collection, Nazia and her team of craftspeople painstakingly revived memories of a Soviet era gone by through the use of the iconic crisscross pattern found in the jewel. The color palate spoke of pretty pastel hues such as mint green, arctic azure, pale peach, subtle pinks and buttery yellow with hints of gold, silver and some gorgeous glitter. Soft chiffons, flowy georgettes and sublime silks breathe life into this ambitious, extravagant and ethereal collection which spelled couture and creativity. Ex-Femina Miss India World, Natasha Suri strutted the ramp for Nazia.
Showcasing its latest collection, designer label Red Sister Blueinfused high dose of traditional khadi and handcrafted fabric paired with stylish western. The collection positioned Khadi as an integral part of the gen-next urbanites’ style. Red Sister Blue identifies with one’s modern day sensibilities that are reflected on their fresh and funky high-street style pieces. The collection beautifully struck harmony between style and culture. The glamorous Miss Asia Pacific, Himangini Singh raised the style mantra as she sashayed the ramp with her unmatched grace and panache.
Celebrated designer Sanjana Jon showcased her collection through the show with a difference. Inspired by radiating golden light that represents youth, womanhood and joy, the collection was dedicated to the cause of the saving of the girl child.
