'Operation Gold Fish', directed by Saikiran Adivi and starring Aadhi Saikumar in the lead, has released today. This movie marks the debut of writer Abburi Ravi as an actor and 'Airtel 4G' girl Sasha Chettri in Tollywood. The film has been released amidst decent expectations. Read on to know how the film is.

Arjun Pandit (Aadi Saikumar) is an NSG commando. A terrorist named Ghazi Baba (Abburi Ravi), who terrifies Kashmiri Pundits to leave Kashmir, kills his parents when he is a child. Arjun grows hating Ghazi Baba and with an aim to eliminate him one day. The day, Arjun has waited for all his life, comes and Arjun nabs Ghazi Baba. But Baba's man friday, Farooq (Manoj Nandam) does the unexpected to free his boss. How Arjun manages to get rid of Farooq and eventually Ghazi Baba is what the rest of the story all about.

Aadhi Saikumar is very good as an NSG commando. Writer Abburi Ravi makes a decent debut as an actor. As a cold-blooded terrorist, he looks menacing in a few scenes. Rao Ramesh does complete justice to his role. Sasha Chettri, Nitya Naresh, Parvateesam, Karthik Raju and others are impressive.

Technical aspects

Sricharan Pakala has once again impressed with an effective background score. Jaipal Reddy's cinematography is very good. The screenplay should have been more gripping in the second half.

Plus Points

Technically good

Minus Points

Unengaging episodes in second half
Love track

'Operation Gold Fish' has a good premise and the director, Saikumar Adivi, discusses the plight of Kashmi Pundits well through the film. Aadhi Saikumar impresses as an NSG commando and the director even brings out a good performance from debutante Abburi Ravi. The film is technically sound. Had the second half should been more engaging, the film would have been even better.

Rating: 2.75/5
