Lakshmi Manchu bags a key role in ‘Tumhari Sulu’ Tamil remake

Vidya Balan starrer super hit Hindi film ‘Tumhari Sulu’ is being remade in Tamil. The film also starred Manav Kaul, Neha Dhupia and Malishka Mendonsa. The latest update is that Lakshmi Manchu has been roped in to play an important role in the film. While prominent actress Jyothika reprises the role essayed by Vidya Balan in the remake, Lakshmi Prasanna Manchu will be essaying the role of FM Channel’s head, originally played by Neha Dhupia. It is learnt that the actress is pretty excited to be a part of this project. In an interview with an English daily, Lakshmi revealed that Jyothika and Surya were keen on having her on board for the remake. Lakshmi Manchu will be seen sporting a very stylish look.

The remake, to be directed by Radha Mohan, is currently under pre-production stage and will go on floors soon. Lakshmi Manchu will join the sets of the film in May. Chennai-based BOFTA Media Works India has brought the Tamil remake rights.
