Poonam Bajwa's Manthrikan

‘Manthrikan’ is a Tamil and Malayalam film which is now being dubbed into Telugu with the same title by B Satyam on Ambica Cine Productions banner. This is a heroine centric movie in which the story revolves around the female character played by Poonam Bajwa. It’s a ghost revenge story and the story goes like this.

There are four brothers in a zamindaar family. The last among them gets married to a poor girl. The other three brothers who couldn’t accept her as their family member will set her ablaze and kill. But not withstanding the cruelty of his brothers the younger one who married the poor girl will also jump into the flames and die. Later the poor girl turns into ghost and takes revenge on all three brothers who killed her. When one among three will be killed, the other two brothers become alert and arrest the ghost with the help of a ghost-rider (Manthrikudu). After few years a new love blossoms in the same house. However, this time the girl from Zamindaar family will love a poor boy. Soon after the family members learn about that, they will arrest the girl in a room. The atma which was arrested inside a vessel and hidden in the room will now enter into the girl and starts troubling the family members from then onwards. The family members will learn that the ghost-rider who arrested the soul in the past only can save them. But nevertheless the ghost-rides is dead. At this juncture who saves them forms the remaining part of the film with suspense and thriller elements in an entertaining manner. According to producer, graphics are the main attractions. Poonam Bajwa’s performance as atma will be special attraction. Audio will be released shortly and the film in 1st week of December.

Other cast includes Jaya Ram, Divya, Devan and Feroz Khan.
