'Konda Polam', starring Vaishnav Tej and Rakul Preet Singh, will be released in theatres on October 8. The film's pre-release event was held on Tuesday evening in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, director Krish Jagarlamudi said that the movie's shoot was wrapped up in 45 days. Saying that it was shot day in and day out, the 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' maker added, "Our film is the story of a shepherd who becomes an IAS officer. Vaishnav Tej is a hard working actor. He lived in this character. Rakul has given life playing Obulamma."
On his part, the 'Uppena' star said that 'Konda Polam' is a beautiful and inspiring film. He has played a character named Kataru Ravindra Yadav. "It is all about overcoming the fears within ourselves. I must say that the film is a combination of various untold inspirational stories," he added.
Rakul Preet Singh, who has essayed the role of a village belle, said, "Obulamma is a character I will always be proud of doing. I came out of my comfort zone and did this film."
The film has music by MM Keeravani and cinematography by VS Gnana Sekhar.
