The pre-release event of 'Pelli SandaD' was held on Sunday evening. Megastar Chiranjeevi and Victory Venkatesh graced the occasion as chief guests, thanks to their long-time association with presenter K Raghavendra Rao. The film will be released in theatres on October 15.
Speaking on the occasion, Chiru said that he was a chief guest at an event of the old 'Pelli Sandadi', which had Srikanth in the lead. "I have had a long-time association with Raghavendra Rao garu. In the 1980s, we actors used to wait for an opportunity to work with him. 'Adivi Donga', in 1985, was my first full-fledged movie with him. The movie was a massive box office hit, a hit that proved that a film can make revenues as much as an NTR movie. Raghavendra Rao garu is one director who can make stars. By the way, he is a romantic fellow even at this age! I wish that Srikanth's son Roshan will score a big hit like his father with 'Pelli SandaD'. Sree Leela is beautiful. Roshan calls me 'Peda Nanna' in private. But on stage, how dare he called me 'Chiranjeevi garu'," Chiru said, ending his speech on a light note.
Venkatesh said, "'Pelli Sandadi' was a classic. After 25 years, Srikanth's son Roshan must feel lucky that he is doing a film by the same name. I am sure this one is going to be a very big hit this Dasara. We are going to see a new actor, thanks to Raghavendra Rao garu. He is the most friendly director we have known."
Roshan Meka said, "It was not easy to shoot this movie during the pandemic. We are dedicating this movie to Krishna Mohan Rao garu, the brother of Raghavendra Rao garu. He passed away during the making of the movie. The fire in Chiranjeevi garu inspires us a lot. Music is the backbone of our movie. Never in my dream did I imagine that I would be dancing to the tune of MM Keeravani garu."
