When Trivikram's 'Sainyam' with superstar fell apart

Last week, in an interview, 'Okkadu' producer MS Raju stated that he had rejected an opportunity to collaborate with Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas sometime in the mid-to-late 2000s. In his latest interview today, his son and actor Sumanth Ashwin briefly refreshed everyone's memory.

Sumanth remembered that 'Sainyam' was the title of the planned project. Both Trivikram and Mahesh were willing to collaborate with Raju after the successful 'Athadu' stint (and, perhaps, before 'Khaleja' hit the cinemas). For whatever reason, the project didn't take off.

Going by Raju's words, it is the producer himself who chose to abandon the project. 'Sainyam' was not taken over by any other producer.

Many Netizens trolled Raju after his recent comments on forgoing the Mahesh-Trivikram project, suggesting that it was a false claim or something. His son has indirectly shut them up, as 'Sainyam' was very much in the workings.
