Sri Chidambaram Garu is scheduled to be released in theatres on February 6. Vamsi Tummala and Sandhya Vashishta feature as the lead pair.
Producers Chinta Vineesh Reddy and Chinta Gopala Krishna Reddy today made the release date official. Writer-director Vinay Rathnam has also worked with Gopinath, Shivakumar Matta, Kalpalatha Garlapati, Arun Kumar, Tulasi, Naidu Moram, Shankar Rao, and others.
Speaking today at the event, Vinay Rathnam said, "This film owes its existence to our producer, Gopala Krishna. Every song in the soundtrack is deeply moving; in fact, while watching the final mix, I was moved to tears."
Hero Vamsi Tummala stated that the music has elevated the film to "another level altogether." He spoke highly of the producer’s dedication, explaining that his deep love for the story ensured a high-quality production without any compromises. He also pointed out the significance of their distribution partnership, noting that this is the first film Vamsi Nandipati handpicked for release in 2026. Last year, Vamsi was behind Little Hearts and Raju Weds Rambai.
Sandhya Vashisht shared that she portrays a character named Leela in the upcoming project. Expressing her gratitude for the public’s reception, she noted that the teaser and songs have already garnered a very positive response. She described the project as a "feel-good story". The actress hinted that a pronounced Malayalam cinema vibe can be expected from the movie.
Music directors Chandu & Ravi thanked Vamsi Nandipati for enabling them to land the project. Saying that Sri Chidambaram Garu has a heartfelt message, they mentioned MM Keeravani's song as a highlight. It's a melody named Velledaarilo.
Marking his fifth production, Gopala Krishna Reddy’s latest venture focuses on encouraging fresh talent without sacrificing scale. "Our film maintains high-tier production standards comparable to major studio releases. With Vamsi Nandipati managing the distribution across Telugu states, the project is a labor of love rooted in content-driven storytelling," he suggested today.
