Top technician feels 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' was hounded

Editor Marthand K Venkatesh feels that negative talk was spread against Mahesh Babu's 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' even before it was released in theatres. "We don't know why it happened. Despite the negativity, the film worked at the box office," Venkatesh said in his latest interview.

He suggested that the media was party to the "negative" campaign. "The film was not just a commercial outing. It raised the issue of banks treating wilful defaulters (like Vijay Mallya) with kid gloves. Even this point was not praised by reviewers. I don't understand why," Venkatesh commented.

Actually, 'SVP' was a simplistic film. Just because you take up a burning issue and make the hero solve as if he is omnipotent, your film doesn't deserve to be lavished with praises. Also, the audience found the rom-com track in the second half too lengthy and outlandish.
