Sivalenka Krishna Prasad bags all-India theatrical rights to '800'

Former Sri Lankan bowler Muttiah Muralitharan's biopic is titled '800' across languages. Starring Madhur Mittal in the cricketer's role, the film co-stars Mahima Nambiar and others. Dominated by a Tamil cast (Naren, Nasser and others), the film is bankrolled by Movie Train Motion Pictures and helmed by MS Sripathy.

The news is that senior producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad of Tollywood has bagged the biopic's theatrical rights across languages. He owns the release rights to the promising biopic, which covers Muralitharan's journey from his childhood to becoming a legendary sportsman.

Previously, Prasad has produced prestigious movies such as Balakrishna's 'Aditya 369' on Sridevi Movies. Nani's 'Gentleman', 'Sammohanam', 'Bluff Master' and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's survival thriller 'Yashoda' are his productions in recent years.

Coming back to '800', the film was shot in Sri Lanka, England, Australia, Kochin, Chandigarh and Chennai. The film, whose music is by Ghibran of 'Saaho' fame, will head to theatres in the month of October in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
