Mrunal Thakur gives a straight answer to an uncomfortable question

Most actresses who are in their late 20s and early 30s refuse to talk about their age. They either evade questions related to their age or get into shaming those who want to know their age. This is a given in a field where age, glamour and acting talent are conflated. Most heroines play glamorous roles in our movies anyway.

But Mrunal Thakur is different. She is 31 and yet hasn't shied away from revealing her age in an interview. The 'Sita Ramam' damsel, who will next be seen in 'Hi Nanna', did a promotional interview alongside the Natural Star earlier this week. In the interview, the beauty talked about her age.

Mrunal is a late bloomer in the film industry. "It took me eight years to bag a Bollywood debut. After 'Love Sonia' (Hindi) in 2018, I had no work. I was doing dishes at home. I was down. I had to bide my time for this day when I am doing 4-5 films at a time. After I bagged 'Sita Ramam', I was bombarded with congratulatory messages. I was a 4th Assistant Director at one point in time. I have grown from strength to strength in the entertainment industry over the years," she said in an interview last year.
