'Agent', starring Akhil Akkineni in the lead, was released in theatres in April this year. This Surender Reddy directorial has not appeared on OTT till today due to some issues. Finally, the box-office disaster is heading to OTT.
The spy action thriller, produced by Anil Sunkara, will hit SonyLIV on September 29.
Announcing the date, the streaming platform today said, "The wait is over! Brace yourself for the wild adrenaline rush! The Agent starring Mammotty and Akhil Akkineni will be streaming on Sony LIV from 29th Sept."
The film courted controversy in recent weeks after a distributor from Andhra alleged that its theatrical rights were sold to him by the producer for Rs 30 Cr. As per the distributor, the deal was not honoured and that he lost Rs 28 Cr. His allegation is yet to be proved in the court of law.
