Prove to us that collections of 'Guntur Kaaram' are fake: Naga Vamsi

On Friday, producer Naga Vamsi interacted with the media in Hyderabad and said that 'Guntur Kaaram' is achieving break-even across territories (barring the US). He said that the negative reviews and the hostile (as per him) media campaign did shake them on the release day (January 12). Slowly, the "havoc" caused by the negative campaign proved to be irrelevant, he suggested.

Speaking to the media, Naga Vamsi said that not every Sankranthi release becomes a commercial hit. "Our own film (referring to 'Agnyaathavaasi') didn't do well previously despite its Sankranthi release. Had the reviews affected our film, the collections wouldn't have been this high. It's only the audience who can make or break a film. The US audience haven't accepted our film well because their expectations were different. A film doesn't have to become successful in every single territory," he added.

He asked those who have been alleging that the collections of 'Guntur Kaaram' have been inflated on paper (Rs 212 Cr Gross worldwide in the first week) to prove their allegations. "Prove it to everyone that we are faking," Naga Vamsi added. "My concern are the audience and the distributors alone. If you don't want to believe something, don't," he added.
