Fans of Telugu star heroes show frustration

The new buzz in the town is that we should brace up for a series of postponements this year. Jr NTR's 'Devara' is said to have been postponed indefinitely from April 5. Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2' is said to be looking at a Christmas release instead of an August 15th release. If these two major titles are postponed, the perception is going to be bad. Telugu cinema fans are hoping that Prabhas' 'Kalki 2898 AD' will stick to May 9 as its release date.

Telugu cinema has been notorious for postponements since the days of 'Baahubali'. 'Adipurush' and 'Salaar' were postponed. Before them, 'Saaho' and 'Radhe Shyam' were postponed indefinitely twice. 'The Raja Saab' should have been readied in six months.

Pawan Kalyan's films have been notorious for a similar reason. 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' has been delayed by more than two years. 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh' has been going on at a snail's pace.

Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram' should have been released at least 6-9 months before Sankranthi 2024. 'Pushpa 2' should have been released last year itself had everything gone well. Sukumar's inability to complete projects in time has deprived Bunny of any release for three years. Ram Charan's 'Game Changer' is going to be a September release in the best case scenario. It should have been released last year itself. So, it has been delayed by 12 to 18 months.

In the coming years, almost every single confirmed project with Telugu stars by directors like Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Prashanth Neel, Sukumar, Trivikram Srinivas and SS Rajamouli (of course) will be delayed. Some of those projects may not even be made at this rate. You can't be planning for 2030 in 2024, can you?
