Vijay Deverakonda served as the Grand Marshal at the 43rd annual World’s Largest India Day Parade in New York City. Hosted by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), the parade brought an estimated 600,000 people to Madison Avenue to celebrate India’s Independence Day.
"Celebrating Home and Indians around the world. Beautiful day, beautiful people in Times Square NewYork," Vijay wrote, sharing his experience.
The Kingdom star, who is often celebrated for his "common man" appeal, made the occasion even more personal by being joined by his family. His presence was particularly significant for the Telugu diaspora, as he connected with the community and honored India's rich heritage. "The event began with solemn tributes to the victims of the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack and the Ahmedabad plane crash," a statement said.
His most recent theatrical release garnered extremely strong openings. Vijay Deverakonda's pull and his committed audience base is among the primary reasons for the authoritative show at the cinemas. Add to this are the film's genre, and critically acclaimed content.
