Due to financial hurdles and a Madras High Court order, the theatrical release of Karthi's Annagaru Vostaru (Vaa Vaathiyaar in Tamil) has been put on hold. The action-comedy won't be hitting the cinemas this week.
Studio Green will iron out issues in the coming days. Reports say that the banner needs to clear dues to the tune of Rs 21 Cr, failing which Annagaru Vostaru won't be allowed to be screened anywhere.
Karthi's movie co-stars Krithi Shetty and Sathyaraj. A date that suits both Tamil and Telugu markets will now have to be finalized. Last week, Akhanda 2 was postponed in the last minute in a similar fashion. All issues got resolved within a week. In the case of Annagaru Vostaru/Vaa Vaathiyaar, too, things might proceed at a faster clip.
